This includes topics such as scopes and hoisting, closures, the event-loop, and the behavior of this. For each such topic, the panel discusses whether or not JavaScript devs are required to know and understand them in order to write better code, or pass job interviews, or to understand existing codebases. Alternatively, if these are topics that JavaScript developers don’t need to know, and maybe should even avoid.
